"In recent years, the Municipality of Ruse has invested funds in many events and in the improvement of museums, but in the long term we are looking to present visitors to our city with a comprehensive experience," shared Deputy Mayor Zlatomyra Stefanova.

The team said that one of the biggest values for Ruse is cruise tourism, as before the global coronavirus pandemic, 300 ships docked in Ruse annually. In order to make it easier for tourists in the current situation and to give them more time to walk around the city, a few months ago the mayor Pencho Milkov demanded that the RZI and tour operators start implementing an optimized procedure for checking vaccination certificates and negative tests.

Milkov said that among the advantages of Ruse is the constantly increasing level of security, which the municipality achieves through permanent video surveillance, increasing the number and quality of cameras and working together with law enforcement agencies.

The mayor added that the administration continues to act actively for the restoration of civil flights to the Ruse airport, which would also attract tourist flows to the Danube city.

"Ruse is Bulgaria's door to Europe and we want it to welcome foreign tourists with the typical Bulgarian products and handmade products. That's why we want to build an alley of crafts that is close to the pier and the city center," said Pencho Milkov.

"Your city is beautiful and has great potential," Nancy Schiller said emphatically.

The team that accompanied her also expressed readiness to assist in the implementation of creative projects in Ruse, recalling that only in recent months the foundation has co-financed several major projects here - the "Allegra" classical music festival and academy and the "City Rivers" festival ', which gave new life to a section of the quay.
