BUSINESS FINANCING
The Bulgarian enterprises can rely on various financial instruments for project implementation and a large part of the funds are provided as grants. For the 2021-2027 period, direct support will be provided to companies operating in the Ruse region for:
Investment in production for implementing new modern technologies;
Investment in digital technologies for digitalisation, digital transformation and cybersecurity;
Circular economy: production waste reduction, recycling, more efficient use of resources;
Introduction of energy efficiency measures in the enterprises and decarbonisation;
Investment in digital technologies for digitalisation, digital transformation and cybersecurity;
Subsidised employment, qualification and retraining of employees;
Mobility of employees, healthy work environment, flexible forms of work.
“The knowledge triangle” combining education, research and innovations is one of the main themes in the Strategy for smart specialisation of Ruse towards 2025. The economy in the region concentrates entrepreneurial, technology, science, human, cultural and creative resources and here, the universities and research centres are the most important local assets.
The development of high-tech production and knowledge-intensive services is part of the national policy.
Within the sector specialisation of Ruse region, the priority for financial support will be granted to companies operating in the following areas:
Manufacturing of machinery and equipment;
Manufacturing of electrical systems and equipment;
Manufacturing of chemical products;
Apparel manufacturing;
Food production;
Metal products manufacturing.
Agriculture is another sector which will get financial support in the coming years for investing in new technologies, farms digitalisation, ecology, energy efficiency and organic farming.
