Modern facilities and sports clubs provide a number of opportunities for different activities. Some of the available places for sports activities provided by the city are: three multifunctional complexes, the City Stadium, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, the forest park „Lipnik“, outdoor and indoor swimming pools,
playgrounds for different sports, all located in different areas of Ruse.
The construction of a new multifunctional swimming complex in the Youth Park is underway.
SPORTS INFRASTRUCTURE
The sports infrastructure in Ruse provides opportunities for hosting prestigious
national and international events.
In recent years, the city has hosted world and European volleyball tournaments,
as well as various events in sports such as football, athletics, badminton, martial arts, water sports, and mass initiatives.
In 2026, Ruse will host a round of the World Water Motor Sports Championship and the
Dan Kolov – Nikola Petrov International Wrestling Tournament.
MEDICAL INSTITUTIONS
Two university hospitals, specialised medical institutions in cardiology,
pneumo-phisiology, oncology, physical and reha- bilitation medicine
and a mental health centre are the main institutions for hospital care
in the city. The health map of Ruse also features three diagnostic-consultation
centres, 12 medical centres, three dental centres and an emergency medical centre.
