Municipal commercial companies with 100% municipal participation in the capital are planning significant investments in the material base and raising the qualifications of the staff. This became clear from the held balance commission evaluating their financial and economic results.
7 out of a total of eight companies end the year with a positive financial result. These are "Municipal Markets" and six medical institutions - "Diagnostic Consultation Center 1 - Ruse", "Medical Center 1 - Ruse", "Dental Medicine Center 1 - Ruse", "Center for Mental Health - Ruse", "Complex Oncology center - Ruse" and "Specialized hospital for active treatment for pneumo-phthisiatric diseases Dr. Dimitar Gramatikov - Ruse".
The only company that does not realize a positive balance for 2022 is "Municipal Transport - Ruse" EAD, which is explained by the social function it performs.
The company "Municipal Markets", which manages 15 commercial establishments, for another year made an accounting profit. For 2022, it amounts to BGN 73 thousand. The income is formed mainly from the leasing of commercial areas and facilities, and in the past year the company contributed BGN 320 thousand to the budget of the Municipality of Ruse, of which a dividend in the amount of BGN 103,000. During the reporting period, it implemented its investment program with reconstruction of the Central Market, repair and renovation of the "San Stefano" market and construction of a new commercial premises. The company is also involved in the organization of the Ice Rink and the Ruse Spring Fair, which have become traditional entertainment for Ruse residents.
This year, "Municipal Markets" intend to implement several projects related to the construction of a new covered market in the "Charodeyka Sever" quarter, the second stage of the reconstruction of the Central Market, the construction of a new market in the Danube Bridge area and improvement of the market "Ivan Vazov" and "Lilia" market.
The managers of the medical institutions presented to the commission their intentions in the current year to make investments in the material base, in the purchase of medical equipment and technology, as well as in raising the qualifications of the staff.
The Commission will propose to the Municipal Council that all municipal commercial companies be exempted from paying a dividend for the financial year 2022 to the budget of the Municipality of Ruse.
