On July 9, 2024, the Mayor of Ruse Municipality, Pencho Milkov, and Deputy Mayor Zlatomira Stefanova visited the production facility of "GG Group" in the Ruse Industrial Park. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the progress and plans for the new factory of "GG Cables and Wires Bulgaria," part of the global Austrian company Gebauer & Griller Group, which is being built with state-of-the-art technologies and standards.

Milkov and Stefanova held discussions with key representatives of GG Group, including Markus Ganal – Chief Production Officer, Dan-Calin Botean – Regional Director for Eastern Europe, Grigore-Dan Tagorean – General Manager, and Stella Lecheva – HR Manager. The main topics of the meeting included:

• Recruiting qualified personnel for the new factory.
• Providing bus transportation for employees.
• Addressing current issues related to the Danube Bridge and heavy traffic.

The management of "GG Group" outlined their strategies for creating a stable and attractive working environment, including close cooperation with local universities and educational institutions. Pencho Milkov emphasized the importance of early education and the introduction of robotics in kindergartens, which helps develop technological skills in children.

The Austrian company Gebauer & Griller Group (GG Group) announced plans for a total investment of 60 million BGN in a new factory for automotive components in Ruse in July 2023. This investment will create about 400 new jobs and boost the economic development of the region. The new factory will focus on the production of products for electric vehicles, including HV cable harnesses for leading European manufacturers.

The factory, located on 13,000 m², will start with about 100 employees, with pre-series production expected to begin in 2024 and series production in the summer of 2025. In the mid-term, GG Group plans to invest up to 29 million EUR and increase the number of employees to about 400.

Maintaining active dialogue between business and local administration is crucial for the development of the region. The meeting between Mayor Pencho Milkov and the management of GG Group highlights the commitment of Ruse Municipality to collaborate with investors and support industrial development. The exchange of ideas and joint problem-solving are key factors for achieving sustainable growth and attracting new investments.
