The grant under it will be in the amount of 80%

The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works has opened for applications the second stage of the implementation of the sub-measure "Support for sustainable energy renovation of the housing stock" under the "Low Carbon Economy" component of the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan (NRSP). The total amount of funds for this procedure is BGN 282,470,400 including VAT, and the application deadline is January 16, 2024.

Approved buildings will receive up to 80% grant funding. The owners' association should ensure its self-participation in the current procedure through its own financial resources in the amount of 20% of the value of the eligible costs.

The minimum amount of requested funds for each individual project is BGN 50,000, and the maximum for a building/block-section/group of block-sections cannot exceed BGN 9,500,000.

Eligible applicants are buildings in which there are at least four detached units and belong to more than one owner, as well as all multi-family residential buildings that are managed under the Condominium Management Act (CMA) and designed before April 26 1999

It is a mandatory requirement that after the implementation of the measures in the multi-family building, a minimum of 30% savings in primary energy, as well as energy consumption class "B", should be achieved.

The activities under this procedure are carried out on the territory of the whole country, in 28 regions and 265 municipalities. The funds under the procedure are distributed equally to the six planning regions of Bulgaria, and for the North Central Planning Region (Veliko Tarnovo Region, Gabrovo Region, Ruse Region, Razgrad Region and Silistra Region) they are in the amount of BGN 47,078,400.

Among the main objectives of the procedure is to improve the energy characteristics of the national building stock of residential buildings by applying integrated energy efficiency measures, reaching a minimum energy consumption class "B", better conditions and quality of life for the population, etc.
