The mayor of Ruse shared the steps taken in this direction so far – the ongoing electrification of the public car fleet, the construction of energy-efficient buildings and lighting, the plans to expand the bicycle network and the work on the project to create hydrogen-powered vehicles.
"Congratulations on all you do, because it's really not easy," commented Ambassador Dixon.
He added that if the management wants to join the competition, it will actively assist with trainings, consultations and exchange of experience.
The ambassador of the United Kingdom also spoke about the idea of the embassy to create Bulgarian-British educational programs for students, at the end of which the trainees receive diplomas recognized in both countries. According to him, the reason is that education on the Island is becoming more and more difficult for Bulgarians to access.
