The updated Investment Profile of Ruse Municipality has been finalized and presents an enhanced vision for the city’s development as a leading economic and investment center in Northern Bulgaria. The new, third edition is the result of a systematic analysis and summary of the current economic, social, and infrastructural situation in Ruse and the region. Its main goal is to support the city’s strategic positioning and to encourage future economic activity.

Ruse Municipality commissioned the preparation of the updated Investment Profile to the Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which also contributed to the development of the previous two editions of the document. Drawing on its long-standing expertise in the field of economic development and its in-depth understanding of the local and regional economy, the Chamber’s team analyzed and structured up-to-date data reflecting trends in the economic environment and the factors shaping investment interest in Ruse.

The Profile builds upon the previous 2023 edition and provides an analysis of the current state of the local economy, its structure, and sectoral trends. It also includes updated data on the labor market, workforce, and business environment that promote investment and economic activity in Ruse.

Among the key highlights are the major infrastructural and strategic projects that will define the city’s development in the coming years – the Ruse–Veliko Tarnovo motorway, the second Danube Bridge between Ruse and Giurgiu, the revival of Ruse Airport, and the preparations for the construction of an intermodal terminal. These initiatives reaffirm Ruse’s key geographical position and its role as a vital link between European transport corridors and the markets of the Balkans.
